I didn’t start out thinking I would be an accountant…that would have been the furthest thing from my mind.

I was a non-traditional college student majoring in business and had to take a few accounting classes. Friends shared with me the agony of their accounting class experience. As it turned out, accounting made perfect sense to me. Thus, an accountant/CPA was born.

At McCord, I’m like the Wizard of Oz. I am in the background making all the financial, payroll, and accounting wheels turn so the creatives can focus on what they do best.

While I’m not creative in the way the designers are, I find the creative in art, music, and film.
Others’ creativity opens me up. I am in absolute awe of nature and the night sky.

I am a free spirit, always have been. Connecting with others, helping others is what drives me. I think listening is an art form. I always try to leave a place a little better than it was when I walked in. Isn’t it amazing how just a smile can make such a difference?
